Monforte Dairy

Ruth Klahsen is the owner of Monforte Dairy and started her entrepreneurship journey in January of 2004 with passions of making a career change. As a trained chef, Ruth made the transition into cheese-making and has been in the industry for over 19 years.

Ruth cited many growing pains that come along with entrepreneurship and quickly came to realize that the traditional way of doing business was not serving her overall goals - providing quality cheese to the community with a mindset of people over profits.

Perth CFDC has supported Ruth since the inception of her business, she stated that not only the financing but also the business support has been a tremendous help in making her feel safe, supported, and that she can achieve her goals with the community in mind. Ruth feels that the flexibility and connection she has with the Perth Community Futures team has allowed her to remain calm and secure in slower seasons.
